It's no secret that sometimes I struggle to love animals (though I have met some furry exceptions over the years). So it was altogether unexpected when early (relatively speaking) Saturday morning I was overcome with benevolence toward Tupper's squirrel population. (Either that or I was way too keen to clean out the freezer of lonely loaf ends.) I fetched the crusts and Kinsey smeared them with peanut butter. (We make a great team.)
